I suppose this is where I’m to provide background as to who I am and other pertinent bits you might find mildly curious. My name is Eric Blair. I’ve been around fewer than some, longer than others, yet not as long as I’d like. Most of my time is spent in observation. You will often find me in the back of a room, down an alley, or behind a door. Reading, listening and debate occupy my days. A quiet pub with a fireplace and book do fine by me. I take everything too seriously. I hold everything, most of all myself, to unattainably high standards, and I’m perfectly content with that fact. I have strong opinions. In my opinion, they’re well-founded. I have a very low tolerance for ignorance. I have an overdeveloped sense of fairness. I have also come to grips with the fact that because of that, I will never be content.
I prefer overcast and dreary to clear and sunny. I relate better with animals than humans. I am very wary about the concept of children. I have been called anal-retentive. I prefer attentive to detail. Alone in a museum would be a perfect way to spend a month. I believe that modern society could learn a thing or two from the Victorian era. I am very protective of personal details. I already feel that I have revealed too much. I think I will leave it at that. And as for the only universal truth I have yet to uncover?
To quote W. Somerset,”Anyone who spends a significant amount of time with me, finds me disagreeable.”
